i should have stayed at home this morn

this morning i felt a little more tired than ususal, and i'm usually pretty damm tired when i get up.  my mornings are kept to be as short as possible, so even if i wake up and can sleep for 90 more seconds, its a welcome 90 seconds.  i usually shower at nite so i get up, put clothes/deordant/toothpaste on and hit the road.  it takes less than 10 minutes for me to get out the door usually.

this morning i must have been extra tired, cause i walked out into the garage without my keys. that by itself isn't so much, but i also hadn't put any shoes on yet.  i laughed pretty hard and thats what finally woke me up.  but still, i could go take a nap in sunny moorhead this afternoon pretty eassily.

maybe someone other than patrick should have driven us home?

what day is it?

I was so screwed up this morning I had no idea what day it was.  I was convinced that it was wednesday when i left for work.  i was thinking it was wednesday until a co-worked asked me if i had brought my sombrero today.  then i knew it was not in fact wednesday yet.  i think it should be wednesday and would like to start a petition to make every tuesday actually wednesday, effectively skipping tuesdays in the work week and giving us 4 day work weeks.  sign my petition in the comments section below.

you know that scene towards the end of Return of the King where the hobbits are sitting around the bar table drinking some booze with each other back at the good old shire, and then they kinda get that look like well what the fuck do we do now?

that is exactly how i'm gonna feel when the world cup is over.  so far i have only missed 2 games, and one was because the fucking ABC station in fargo won't take off that sunday morning church shit that they show.  4 years ago when we didn't get to see the final live i wanted to move, someone hit me if i'm dealing with the same issue 4 years from now, unless of course the dream of getting to another world cup in person comes true.

world cup so far

after almost 2 full days its been some exciting action.

germany and costa rica scored more goals in a opening game that any previous world cup, germany wins 4-2.

ecuador upsets(?) poland 2-0

only game ever to finish 1-0 on an own goal in the world cup, england beat paraguay in an un-eventful game.

the most exciting game i've seen in quite a while, huge underdogs trinidad and tobago tie mighty sweeden 0 - 0, and people don't like soccer cause of low scoring, retards.

argentina up on the ivory coast 1 - 0 half way thru the 1st half in a pretty good game so far.

but during this game one of the announcers says that this is for sure the group of death (the argentia group).  for those that don't know, the world cup starts out with 8 goups of 4 teams, they play a round robin and the top 2 advance to single elimination.  typically the one group with the strongest set of teams is considered the group of death.

world cup!!!

the world cup is about to start and i'm so excited i could just about poop in da pants, and i'm so sick i probably could probably poop in da pants.  what a terribe time to be sick, i'll get to watch the first game live on tv today, but have to feel like shit during it.  i finally went to the doc and got some drugs so i should be back in action soon.

I pick Germany to beat up on costa rica today pretty good.

NHL playoffs

The Stanley Cup Finals started last nite with the Carolina Hurricanes beating the Edmonton Oilers in a very exciting game.  I'm glad I was able to watch the game because I have the mega-satelliet package that comes with 2 million channels and I happen to have OLN.  I can't beleive ESPN, ABC, NBC, FOX, no one of these other bigger stations would have wanted to show the FINALS at least.  I've watched all thru the playoffs on OLN but figured some bigger station would pick up the finals.  I wonder what was on those other channels that was so important?  I'm not complaining, I am able to watch the games, but I'm just really surprised at this.  I'm glad ESPN is showing every world cup game coming up.  next year the stanley cup finals will be on pay-per-view.  shitty......
