graffiti

i sometimes feel like i'm the only one that doesn't get it.  then the train is gone, i'm on my way again and i don't think about graffiti until i'm stopped for the next train a block away.  This happens in moorhead a lot since we moved here.  You don't see much graffiti around town but every time a train goes by, and its a lot, there is plenty to see.  so it usually looks all cool n'shit, but i'm not sure if i'm the only one that can't understand what it is supposed to say when it is a bunch of fancy lettering.  just do a google image search for graffiti and you'll know what i mean, unless i really am the only one that just doesn't get it.  some of it is some pretty awesome artwork, but i feel like i'm missing out just cause i can't usually read it.  i have to know if i am all alone in my graffiti illiteracy loneliness or not, let me know.

when will you retire?

Why is your grandfather still on ice skates? wasn't chris chelios the player to appear in the nba all-star game 18 times? isn't chris chelios one of the smallest countries in south america? did chris chelios kill king tut? wasn't world war one fought over the attempted assanation of chris chelios? did chris chelios win a silver medal at the very first olympics? did chris chelios kill off the dinosaurs to impress his girlfriend?

last nite

it made me pretty happy to read that jessica simpson is a republican. that is just great news for everyone!!!

ONE

If there is one thing I hate, its not celebrities trying to tell me what i should think or do, BUT it is on a list of things i highly dis-like.

now that that is out of the way, i bet you've seen those black and white commericals with a bunch of celebrities each saying a couple words that mesh into each other to form sentences and if we were writing things down, paragraphs. did you ever bother to go to that website brad pitt told you to? it seems like a worthy cause that they want to promote, and dikembe mutombo is aboard, so why shouldn't we be? eddie veddar, dikembe, puff daddy are all mega-rich superstars comapred to anyone who is reading this, and anyone who is reading this is a probably a mega-rich superstar compared to most of the people they want to get help to.

thanks to flyingears for this!

work is a weird thing

1. Is anyone looking for a job at a small technology company?  let me know if you are (or you know someone who is) looking for a job writing Java, writing C#, as a project manager, designer, or whatever else you think might fit in well with a small company that does mainly web applications.

2. Do you have any ideas of a product/website/application that you think would be usefull? The company I work for is thinking about product ideas that we might be able to develop, but we have not settled on anything yet, and ideas are worth a percentage of sales!  If you give me a great idea that makes me rich, you'll be properly compensated!

and now, i should get back to work...

moronic? maybe, but....

here is a funny story about a dude who goes to the police for help in getting his money back from his drug dealer because the marijuana he bought was not good.  its true someone really did that.

http://tinyurl.com/fnmoc

but the real moronic part of the story is that up to 30 grams is leagal for personal use in germany, but the dude took 200 grams with him to the police station, so he got arrested.

even dumber is the fact that 30 grams of marijuana is legal for personal use, but 40 grams will get you arrested.  that sounds like some dumb american law.  wait a minute, nope.... american laws are far dumber than that. is really makes me wish i lived in the czech republic, they have a good hockey team AND a good soccer team!

Bring It On!

This is an open challenge to take on team ____________ in a game of NHL 04 or 05. We don't have a team name but out team consists of (along with myself) NealyB and the tall urban north dakota frenchman. We are taking any 3v3 challenges that you can come up with, but you better bring it hard, we are undefeated as a team. Now we just need a team name.

this website sure does change a lot

yeah, i guess i like to fack with it. its gets stale real quick. let me know if you see a look that you like or one that you don't like. one of these days i'll get sick of changing it and leave it alone, and that'll be the day i never change my email address too!

Winning Eleven

I finally picked up Winning Eleven 9 and I am glad that I did. For many years the EA Sports's FIFA game has been my game of choice, but damm this Winning Eleven game is so much fun. I was so dissiapointed in in FIFA 06, and so thrilled with Winning Eleven 9! Get this game! I just added the PSP version to my amazon wishlist, go buy it for me! Now all i need to do is find somewhere i can download the instructions cause I ain't got any...

almost went to the ER

its so damm cold out today that my skull cracked just form walking out into the cold.  just like you would expect a fragile glass vase to crack if you took it on an adventure of extreme temperature changes.  i almost fell in the middle of the street, surely to make it my frozen grave, but i survived, because the crazy was immediately frozen shut.  i'm never going outside in february again!

oragami world championships

so most of you know that i am an oragami grand master wizard of the highest rank.  i've never been crowned world oragami champion (due to the scoring scandal of 2001), but i think this might be my year.  have a look at some of my latest work here: http://www11.ocn.ne.jp/~origami/phototop.htm

you probably won't be able to read any of the text, but just start hitting the links in the middle of the page and you'll see some of my stuff!

movie of the year

Don't continue reading if you want to watch the movie, there are spoilers here.....
Just like heaven has to be the movie of the year. In this exciting and oh so funny love story Reese Witherspoon plays a doctor who has not time for a love life. Her sister hooks her up with a blind date. On the way to this date she's fun over by an 18 wheeler and sent into a come. now comes in mark ruffalo, he's looking for an apartment to rent and ends up renting her apartment on a month to month lease. It turns out that mark can see and talk to the ghost or the spirit of reese, but no one else can. at first they only get on each others' nerves, but when a sexy neighbor shows up and has the hots for mark, it becomes aparent that mark and reese's ghost are in love. her ghost thinks she's still alive, and together they figure out that her body is stuck in the hospital she used to work at, in a coma. totally unpredictably his love for her brings her strait out of the coma, but she doesn't remeber him when she wakes up. that is only until he gives her his apartment key back, the touch of his hand flashes her memory and she sees it all in a split second, they kiss and credits roll! wow, thats awesome!!!!

change is goooood

wow, a new look to the site, again.  it never seems to stay the same for long.  click on the google ads above if you see something interesting, it really does make me money!  i'm gonna get rid of the stale blogroll and links on the right and replace it with something cool, but i'll probably procrastinate a long time on that and end up not getting anything else done here ever again...

i'm gonna be in minneapolis this weekend if any KP readers are out there, give me a call!  we're gonna rip it up in brooklyn center on saturday nite!

right here right now

there is no other place i want to be...

these are the lyrics i hear, i'm listening to jesus jones in the basement in the dark and i thought to myself "there are many places i'd rather be".  so i'm going to finish writing this, stand up, and move to a new location.  i feel terrible that i haven't written much here recently, nothing at all this week actually.  well i don't feel bad at all, i was just kidding.  i'm not a write and i make no money doing this, but it is satisfying as hell!  ok, i'm making shit up again, its hardly even satisfying.

well anyway, i'm just wasting time while scrubs downloads.  i was getting around to thinking about the crap that i like to read when i'm online and there are some cool blogs that i usually check out.  one of them is by a good friend and i'd love to share it with you but there is a problem.  the problem is myspace.  i don't want to have to log in to read your shit.  damm....  myspace is cool, ya ya, you can show off how many "friends" you have, wow.  c'mon, you've got some interesting stuff that i like to read.

the only advantage of myspace is that it gives you control over who gets to read your blog, although you are limited to the set of people that you know that are willing to create a myspace account and actually log in to read it.  so i know the person i'm talking about is reading this (or will be, or has already), so i ask:  why not ditch myspace, create a free blog ( http://www.blogger.com/ or http://wordpress.com/ or http://www.livejournal.com/) and let the world enjoy it!  i use blogger for this site!

olympics and a beard!

uh oh, its gonna be a busy couple of weeks:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10792454/

coming soon: beard watch.

i'm attempting to grow a beard for the april 28th wedding.  i've never done this before and i'm pretty sure that i'll look really goofy with a beard, if i am even able to grow something decent.  so i'll post some pictures soon i think.  that should be mildly entertaining for you!

ubuntu

I've never had an easier time installing an operating system as i just did install ubuntu earlier tonite! for those of you that don't know, ubuntu is one distribution of linux which has gained popularity recently. its much easier to install than windows, but doing stuff like installing applications could be a little bit easier. getting a new version of firefox was not the easiest thing in the world to do but now i'm using it to write this post.

i would be willing to bet that any normal computer user would have an easier time installing ubuntu linux and getting a browser to work than doing the same with any version of windows.

I like it, maybe a step closer to ditching windows on most of my computers.

a website for the ultimate p
