a new political party

aparently in the netherlands there is a new political party forming that has some people pissed off.  i wonder how they'd compare to the political parties that we have in the US.

my favorite line in the whole article:

The party also said everybody should be allowed to go naked in public and promotes legalizing all soft and hard drugs and free train travel for all.

I don't know about hard drugs (or really where the line between hard and soft drugs is), but the rest of this sounds like a good idea, naked and free trains, hell yeah.  The rest of their ideas, I don't know.  These people are probably more sane than a lot of our current law-makers in the US right now....

something weird

i really want you to concentrate on this.  imagine you're all alone, you've just picked up a value meal from your favorite fast food place, and you supersized that sucker, the giant pop, extra number of fries and the whole works.  you are at home eating it all by yourself and damm it is good.  every delicious bite, every tasty swig.  your timing is perfect, right after your burger and fries are gone, you take the last little bit of that pop before your sucking on air out of that straw.  you throw your garbage away, then pop the top off your drink to dump out the ice before you toss the cup.  you dump the ice in the sink only then to realize that it was not just ice that was in your cup of goodness.  there was also a dead bloody baby bird in your drink the whole time.  what would you do next?

watching soccer in nd

the US mens national team played latvia today.  to get together with some people to watch the game we decided to go to a bar.  a friend of mine installed the sound system, so she knew that the entire bar had to have the same sound, and today it happend to be a fuckin nascar race.  i know that nascar is way more popular than soccer in the united states, but then i think of who our president is and it doesn't surprise me much anymore.

while we were there some cowboys tried to start shit with us because we were watching a soccer, which was not up to their standards as a sport.  it ended when one of them threw down his cowboy hat during a loud yeeeee haaaaw.  he slipped on his hat, fell back and cracked his red neck on the corner of a pool table, knocked that sucker out cold.  we watched the end of the soccer game, and stepped right over him on the way out!

i'm moving to europe next year dammit.  god i hope there is no nascar in europe.  oh yeah, they have F1 racing, at least those guys can turn right sometimes.

scrubs deja-vu

last week on tuesday i was sleeping when my favorite show SCUBS came on.  Jill woke me up to tell me it had started.  Close to the beginning of the eposode (I missed everthing before the song) JD is having some hospital deja-vu.  Well as there was hockey on the other channel, i quickly wrote it off as a re-run, cause i was having my own scrubs deja-vu.  only later was i informed that it was in fact not a re-run.  so i'm finally watching it tonite, and dammit that is a good show.

earlier this weekend i was browsing thru the tv channels late at nite.  i came across pants off dance off which i heard about as being recommened by milla-killa.  so i flicked the tv to that channel to check it out.  so i imagine most people have not seen this show.  first i was watching a black guy doing a strip tease with some type of video playing in the background.  so that was really weird.  then the song ends a new person comes on to strip to another song.  so i'm thinking okay maybe kari wuhrer will be stripping to a guns n' roses song next, i'll stick around for a while.  well after a commercial and lots of anticipation, the show comes back on and there is a hippie-type guy stripping to an usher song.  you get to know the people as they strip and aparently this guy thought his own nakedness helped other people understand who they really are.  right as i heard that i changed the channel to a late nite cinemax movie for about 10 minutes before i went to sleep.  that did teach me a lot about myself, i want to know what channel kari wuhrer is stripping on!

well the response was almost overwhelming, 3 people took a guess! neal, i guess you have absolutely no faith in me, thanks....

the other two guesses were both pretty close. the real time was 8:22. that puts beirwoman off by only 10 seconds. defrance gets a 20 second bonus for being the only one to be under the real time, putting him at only 9 seconds off!

the 4 minute mile

I decided to go down 2 blocks after work and run a mile yesterday, I had to blow off steam from work somehow and there is a nice track there.  I think the last time i ran a mile that was timed i must have been in high school, so i just hoped that my time did not double since then, that was my goal.

any guesses about what my time was?  if anyone guesses right on, you get a kidpurple t-shirt.  closest person gets an optional kick in the ass!

the oilers finished off the red wings tonite, and it was a hell of a good game.  red wings up 2-0 at the start of the 3rd, oilers fight back to tie, red wings take the lead again, oilers tie it up and with a minute left take the lead!  now if the flames can take one, i'll be 2 for 2!
