freedom of speech

in the words of Ice-T: "freedom of speech, yeah boy, just watch what you say."

I'm browsing thru my.yahoo.com news this morn and i come across this headline:

"Katrina Benefit Telethon Won't Be Censored"

so i go to read the article.  here's the deal.  EVEN THOUGH Kayne West is performing, they will not censor the show.  There will be a 7 second delay or whatever to filter any obscenities, but aparently that doesn't qualify as censoring?

ohhhhh, it goes on to say that Kayne West said on some other show that GwB doesn't care about black people.  so they aren't going to censor political statements like that.  ohhhh, that is rather bold of them, actually allowing freedom of speech.

its too bad that someone allowing freedom of speech becomes news [and a most viewed news story at yahoo].  shouldn't it be the opposite of that shit?
